Heat the oil and sauté the cleaned smallonio till it becomes light brown. Add red chilly powder and salt. Stir it low flame. Grind it when it cools. Add a little water in order to get paste form. This can be served with a little coconut oil which makes more tasty.
This chutney can be served with Idali / Dosa / 'Tapioca puzhukku'.
