Responsibilities

OS/390 System Programming, including capacity planning, performance tuning, modification and problem determination with RACF, TCP/IP, VTAM & HCD.

Maintenance and upkeep of IBM S/390 Production, Backup, Development and Disaster Recovery Systems.

Manages the S/390 Parallel Enterprise server hardware configuration for high availability.

Installation, configuration and customization of IBM 2105, 2216, 3172 and 3174.

Monitoring system performance, Extended Remote Copy-XRC and the required environmental conditions for the Systems.

Active member of the team to setup the first Online Disaster Recovery in India using DFSMS/MVS V1 XRC-Extended Remote Copy.

Currently implementing Parallel Sysplex between Production and Development system.

Handling scheduled and unscheduled System and facility outages.

Coordinating with System Support Group & Operations Engineers for maintenance & upkeep of the system.
