Eligibility: A candidate must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2 Scheme) in Science stream with English conducted by the Gujarat Higher Secondary Board or any examinations recognized as equivalent thereto and secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in theory papers of PCB and Maths and 50% marks in practicals in PCB. Candidates should have passed 10+2 from CBSE from the Institutions in Gujarat should have Biology as optional subject.

Eligibility for SC/ST candidates: A mere pass in the qualifying examination in the above mentioned subjects and pass in English.

Reservation of seats: SC 15%, ST 7 ½%, Diploma holders 21 seats (Gujarat States), Foreign students 20 seats.

Selection is made on merit in the qualifying examination and interview.
