Academic
credentials:
The college or university to which you apply will send you the
appropriate instructions on how to forward your academic
documents, scholastic records, etc. to be submitted to an
American college or university which must be official, signed
and sealed by the proper authority from your Indian college or
university. These documents are called
"credentials". If it is called for, you should have
certified photocopies of your credentials. Do not make the
mistake of submitting true copies of your original
credentials. It is also necessary to submit a certified
English translation of non-English language credentials with
the photocopies of the original. Each translation should be
exactly corresponding to the original wherever possible, so
that it can clearly give the information of your educational
background.
