offers 4-year BE courses in Chemical (33), Electronics & Communication (57), Metallurgical (32), Civil (45), Electrical & Electronics (55), Mechanical (85), Mining (30) & Computer Engg (52).

Eligibility: Passed 2-year Pre-Univ. exam of the PUC Board of Karnataka or Equivalent exam with 50% marks in Phy, Chem, Maths. (35% marks for SC/ST candidates). Physically fitness of the candidate is required.

Reservation of seats: SC 15%, ST 7 ½% and Govt of India nominees 16 seats and 1 INRA which is additional.

Selection is made on the basis of merit in the entrance exam conducted by Director of Technical Education, Bangalore. For admission against 50% seats allotted to Karnataka you have to apply to the CET Cell, Bangalore. For admission against seats reserved for Karnataka students in other RECs you should apply to the Principal KREC. For appearing in the Entrance test you have to apply separately.
