Eligibility: Candidates should have passed the Pre-Degree Exam of Calicut University or equivalent exam with 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in aggregate. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are required to secure only the minimum pass marks for SEBC. Location of the institute from where you have passed the qualifying exam will determine your nativity. Those who wish to seek admission to REC, Calicut and other RECs have to apply to this College.

Reservation of seats: For candidates belonging to SC/ST category 10% seats are reserved for Kerala quota, 22.5% for other state. Backward Classes are given 25% reservation for Kerala Quota. For Children of Paramilitary forces killed/disabled in wars/hostilities there is one seat. 2 seats for Sports and for GOI nominees there are additional 12 seats. For Dependents of NRIs there are additional 17 seats.

Selection is made on the basis of merit in the combined entrance exam conducted by the Controller for Entrance Exam for the seats alloted to Kerala for admission to RECs in the country.

Application form & prospectus can be had from the specified branches of State Bank of Travancore in the district headquarters in Kerala on payment of requisite charges.

Hostels facilities are available for boys and girls separately.
