MH-CET Eligibility Criteria |
Introduction |
A Candidate will be held eligible for admission to courses in Health Sciences on fulfillment of following conditions:- 1.
The candidate must be an Indian National. 2. The candidate must be born on or before 1st January 1984. The S.S.C or equivalent examination certificate clearly endorsing the date of birth will constitute valid proof. An underage candidate i.e. the one born on or after 2nd January, 1984 through qualifying for selection, as per merit, but cannot be admitted, will be considered eligible for admission to the college concerned, in the first subsequent year in which he/she becomes eligible by age criterion, provided he/she applies for admission in the year when he/she first becomes thus eligible. Selected underage candidates not admitted in the year 99 and desiring to retain their claim should not appear for MH-CET 2000, even if they receive admit card for MH-CET-2000. If such selected under age candidate appears for examination he/she will forfeit his /her original claim. 3. The candidate must be physically fit. The candidate must submit a certificate of physical fitness. 4. The candidate must have passed the S.S.C or equivalent examination from an Institution situated in the state of Maharashtra; The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent examination, from an institution situated in the State of Maharashtra with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) at the time of admission. 5. A candidate belonging to Open Category must have obtained not less than 50 % (i.e 200 out 400) marks in English,, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. A candidate belonging to Backward class must have obtained not less than 40% (i.e 160 out of 400) marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. 6. The candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) in March/April 2000 are eligible to appear for MH-CET 2000, however they must fulfil the eligibility condition mentioned. above to be eligible for admission. |
